A collaboration intending to create high-quality, inter-disciplinary solutions to address global challenges faced by Syrian refugees in the field of learning and education inside the refugees’ camps in KR-I.

assessing the education provision and learning environments in the Kurdistan region of Iraq (KR-I).

The GCRF Networking Grants Scheme funded this project, which was a partnership between the Erbil Polytechnic University (EPU) and De Montfort University (DMU). The goal of this study is to realise education’s promise for children who are refugees from Syria. The project will assess the education provision and learning environments in the Kurdistan region of Iraq (KR-I).

Our Aim

Our project looks at the problems parents and young children have getting to school in refugee camps in the KR-I. Even though NGOs and governments are paying for school buildings and programmes, most displaced children still can’t get a good education. Our project wants to find out about learning settings in refugee camps and how e-learning and m-learning are helping displaced children learn in camps. Our study helps us learn more about refugees. It focuses on the education of children and tries to make a strong case for education policy, which is important for integrating young people into society and the workplace and fighting radicalization.
